James,

AC Tonewoods are an OLF sponsor so it is hard to see you not doing well dealing with them. I have recently ordered from them but I requested surface mail to AU so I will be waiting a while yet. But, all feedback I have read to date suggest that the wood is very good quality. I can vouch for the service being first class, very helpful and friendly people and fast to respond to any questions.

Cheers

Kim

I've bought from Ed 3-4 times and he is great. I've got bearclaw engelmann tops, bearclaw sitka tops and Cuban mahogany sets from him. One order was damaged in transit and a replacement set was here in 4 days - that's quick from Canada. Order lots from Ed.

And... I just have to say... that his flamed maple will peel your eyes back... it is awesome stuff. Very clean, very white, and even and intense flame.

Ed Dicks and the rest of the crew there are great people. If you have not dealt with them before you might want to call as my first two email inquires got filtered by their Spam blocker. If they do not respond to an email this is the issue. But I believe they have that issue fixed now.MichaelP39055.4142708333

I bought a back and side set, a neck billet, and a top from them a while back, and their service was quick, and the wood was excellent. Very pleasent to do business with. I'm sure that I'll use them again.

Great folks, great service, great wood. Ed and his staff are not active participants in discussions here, but they are really nice to work with and go that extra step for OLF folks.

A little story about AC Tonewoods

They are one of my regular suppliers and I was looking for Bearclaw tops with high figure and for a time they were out and so was everyone else. Ed called a month or so later to inform me he got some in, had in fact sent me 6 sets for me to look at. They had been cut a little thin compared to normal, so Ed wanted me to make sure I could work with them before committing. I could not believe he remembered, and to send them out without any monies exchanging hands or committment was very out of the norm. I purchased all 6 and paid the freight.

Sorry for two posts, but just to let everyone know, the "wild WRC tops" he has are really nice if you are looking for color, streaking and something different, I got in two and really loved both. Also, his HAA Engleman for both Classical and Steel string is really nice and very low cost.

Just thought I would share some added experiences with product

Ed was one of the first vendors I bought from when my stash was started, and he is responsible for 3 of it's standout members - sets of quilted maple, flame maple, and BRW. If I ever get to a point in life where my job doesn't take 60 hours/week, I may actually use them
